Construction starts on bus transfer hub for Metro Line 9

CONSTRUCTION has started on the bus interchange project for the Sheshan hill Station of Metro Line 9.

It is expected to be ready for oper-ation by the end of this year, making it much easier for the nearby resi-dents to travel.

The project is located at the inter-section of Gulu and Sikainan roads in Sijing Town, covering an area of more than 3,200 square meters. It is a small-sized public bus parking lot, designed as the departure and des-tination station for three bus routes, equipped with charging piles.

According to the construction plan, the entrance and main pedes-trian access of the bus station will be located on Sikainan Road, and the exit will be on Gulu Road.

Songjiang’s traffic authority stat-ed that the project is expected to be completed in 90 days, and will be finished in June. The compre-hensive inspection and property registration will be finished by the end of the year.

When put into full operation around the year’s end, the bus cen-ter will improve the level of public transportation facilities along Metro Line 9, better meeting the public’s travel needs.

Buses run on a street in Sijing Town to carry commuters from Metro Line 9 to the local communities.
